A Prayer for Mothers
Mother most pure, from your very conception
you were guarded from the least stain of sin.
Speak to your divine Son with me now
for the protection of my child against dangers of soul.
You know how greatly sin offends God and you abhor it.
You know, too, how horrible sin is because of all
that your divine Son suffered on account of it.
Ask him now to defend my child from
all dangers of sin that threaten.
Please ask him to grant the protection of his grace,
so that grievous sin will not possess the soul of my child
and prevent us from sharing happiness together in heaven!
Mother most holy,
Pray for us!

All About Me
I joined the Catholic church in 1993, and live in Minnesota with my hubby and 7 children.
We homeschool using the MODG syllabi. The children are aged 13 years-16 months.
I also do daycare and help my self employed hubby with his business.

By the time bedtime rolled around today the kids were filthy. It was hot and humid and they had played outside almost all day. I couldn't help but question 6yo ds when he got through a shower so fast. It didn't help him any when he asked me if he still had sand by his ears.
"Did you really shower?"
"Yes!"
"Did you use soap?"
"I didn't NEED soap!"

Spring has finally arrived

It's so peaceful here right now. Three little ones are sleeping, one is riding his bike, three are exploring by the pond and the eldest is crafting. I can hear the birds chirping and the choral frogs are singing loudly. In the distance I can hear an occasional child calling out and the traffic going by. This is why I love Minnesota. Days like this make the long winter fade into the long ago (and never mind the weatherman said snow next week). Today is perfect.

Baby Ben and I were still at the dining table. The rest of the children, plus 11yo ds's friend, had moved to the family room where my two oldest girls had claimed the couches as sickbeds. I could hear some roughhousing, but nothing that caused me concern. Then my 6yo came into the dining room and handed me the following note:
